LANGUAGE OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

The oldest manuscripts of the New Testament were written in Koine Greek. The influence of Greek culture was predominant in Asia Minor and the Middle East. Gradually the political influence of the Romans was popularizing Roman culture, and at the end of Old Age begins to predominate Christian writings in Latin. After the political domain of a civilization, then comes back the cultural field.
